Like most artists, I usually have a lot of works in storage when they're not at exhibitions or galleries. There is also a tendency among many galleries to refuse to show older work, so once a painting is more than, say, five years old, it becomes almost impossible for an artist to exhibit it at commercial galleries - regardless of quality. So eventually we artists sit here with storerooms full of wonderful work that we cannot show or sell! To make matters worse, it is often viewed as unseemly or somehow "cheap" to offer works at prices below their actual value (notwithstanding the fact that invariably buyers will try to haggle with the artist!). So rather let an artist starve in a shack full of expensive art than have them sell their work at affordable prices in order to survive. Well, scruples be damned! So for the rest of this month, I am offering a few of my older works that I have in storage at substantially reduced prices - up to 75% off.
